What We Do
We are proud to offer a variety of activities that each child could participate in. To simplify, we have 5 areas of Focus: Design, arts and crafts, music, physical engagement and intellectual engagement. All of which have a minimum of 3 activities.
Design
Design is a bit different from arts and crafts in the sense that it involves more intensive projects than arts and crafts does. This means that they will take a longer time than arts and crafts projects and require more of your child creative vision. The main projects are, Doll making, clothing/fabric design, Knitting and jewelry making.
Physical engagement
Physical engagement is a key aspect of growth for everybody, not just children. We would love to get them up and moving in a fun way that uses up all that stored energy. To do that we have the following activities planned: Dancing classes, Zumba and run of the mill school yard games.
Arts and crafts
Arts and crafts is a traditional way of engaging children and allowing them to explore their creative nature. We have activities ranging from finger painting to citrus fruit printmaking. This is our largest area of focus but the main activities include: painting, origami, paper weaving, egg carton flowers, tie-dye, popsicle stick crafts, pressed flowers and citrus fruit painting.
Music
While music is are shortest area of focus, here at CUBE we believe that learning music is important for growing children. Under this area of focus, we have learning written music and how to follow it, learning how to play the recorder and making instruments with every day objects.
Intellectual engagement
Here at CUBE we believe “all play no work makes Johnny a dull boy!” which is why we have curated a selection of intellectual activities to engage the children’s minds in a way that they will find entertaining. With activities such as: A scavenger hunts with clues that require logic thought processing, creative writing and poetry, they can do just that. We also have more traditional activities such as Sudoku, chess, checkers, puzzles, and reading.
